Once again our members brought along a hearty spread of Christmas food to share at the December meeting (held on the 13th). We then had the customary Apple quiz and talked about Mac housekeeping.

This year’s quiz was compiled by Robert. It featured 3 rounds covering new features of iOS 13 and macOS Catalina, guessing sayings from emoji and identifying Apple products from close-up pictures.

Mac Housekeeping
We discussed tips for keeping running well and the merits of all-in-one maintenance apps like CleanMyMac.
Also mentioned were free utilities such as GrandPerspective for finding large files you may no longer need and Onyx for system maintenance functions. These generally require a bit more technical knowledge to use.
