DaVinci and Siri

At our October meeting, held on the 9th, DavidB showed how he created an impressive video in DaVinci Resolve. Robert demonstrated some of the new features in the recently released ‘27 OS versions, concentrating on Siri AI. Members also mentioned other topics.

DaVinic Resolve

DavidB showed us an impressive video project he’d created in DaVinci Resolve by compositing several videos and still images.

Some of the features David used were:

  • Magic mask to isolate moving objects from their original background (this requires the paid version of Resolve).
  • Fast Noise to give movement to a static background image.

David mentioned the power and complexity of Resolve. The manual for the latest version, 21, is 4444 pages long!

DaVinic Resolve is available in a fully usable free version with additional features in the paid Studio version.

‘27 OS Versions

Robert talked about the new features common to the recently released ‘27 Apple OS versions including MacOS Golden Gate, iOS 27 and iPad OS 27.

Siri AI is the key feature added to these new versions. Robert noted that Siri AI needs to be enabled in addition to the standard Siri. There is a waiting list, but all the members who had activated it recently said they only waited a few minutes.

The features Robert demonstrated included:
