Meeting Report: 8th April 2011

Sonia gave us a very interesting presentation on her on-going project to build an Apple-based media centre to play content on her TV. She showed us an original Apple TV and a Mac mini based media server she had configured and explained the advantages and disadvantages of each device. On the Mac mini she had installed the free Boxee media centre software and had also configured the system to be usable on the TV with a wireless Magic Trackpad and Keyboard.

We also discussed the latest Apple-related news including the iPad 2, Thunderbolt and the release of Firefox 4.
