Meeting Report: 12th June 2009
At this meeting there was a lot of discussion about Apple’s WWDC announcements including the iPhone 3G S, Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard and the MacBook Pro and Air updates.
New member Graham gave us a bit of a blast from the past by asking for advice about getting his blue and white iMac running Mac OS 8.6 on a dail-up Internet connection. Some helpful advice was given and we were able even able to find some old tutorials on-line.

John drew a large crowd when he demonstrated X-Plane which is a great looking flight simulator. However the real interest came from an iPhone app that John is beta testing which allows you to control the plane (in the simulator running on a Mac) by tilting the iPhone. The touch screen is used to control the throttle and rudder.
